The short answer

OutdoorBrite suits someone who will generate designs every month and wants a large style library, high-resolution output and plant lists in one subscription. AI Garden Design suits someone who wants to try it free first, or pay $4.99 for a week on one project instead of $29 a month.

What OutdoorBrite actually is

OutdoorBrite is an AI landscape design tool: you upload one photo of a backyard, garden, patio or front yard, pick a style, and get a redesign back. Its site lists 50+ design styles and results in under a minute, and states plainly that it is a paid product with no free tier.

Upload a photo, choose a style, and the AI returns redesign concepts that keep the house, layout and property lines from the photo, according to its site. Plans are monthly subscriptions with a redesign allowance per month. The higher plans add higher resolution (2K, then 4K), plant lists, plants picked for your region, editing of plants, paving and layout, and on Pro, team collaboration and agency and commercial rights. Extra credits can be bought as top-ups.

What it costs
No free tier. Starter $29/month or $276/year (25 redesigns a month, HD); Plus $49/month or $468/year (100 a month, 2K); Pro $149/month or $1,428/year (200 a month, 4K, agency and commercial rights).
How long it takes
Under a minute per redesign, per its site.

The credit maths

No free tier, so the first month is the trial

OutdoorBrite publishes its prices clearly and says up front that there is no free tier. That makes the first payment the test, so it is worth knowing what each plan costs per redesign before picking one.

Divide the price by the allowance. Starter is $29 for 25 redesigns, about $1.16 each. Plus is $49 for 100, about 49 cents each. Pro is $149 for 200, about 75 cents each. Yearly billing takes 20% off all three. Plus is the cheapest per redesign, and the plan to compare against other tools, if you will use most of its 100.

The allowance is monthly. A homeowner with one yard may need a few dozen attempts in total, so a monthly plan only pays off if the project runs for several months, or if you cancel after the first.

The upper plans are built for professional use: 4K output, team collaboration, and agency and commercial rights on Pro. If you pitch clients, compare the $149 a month against how many designs you actually produce in a month.

PlanWhat it works out to

Top-upsExtra credits can be bought when the monthly allowance runs out.

If you want to see a result on your own photo before paying, start with a tool that has free designs, then decide whether a monthly plan is worth it.
